Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps Performance in Romania - Q1 2022

In the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 navigation and maps applications in Romania exhibited varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at their metrics.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a consistent level of weekly downloads, starting at approximately 21.5K in late December and experiencing a dip to around 13.1K by the end of February. However, it rebounded to nearly 19.3K by the last week of March. Weekly active users fluctuated but generally stayed above 820K, peaking at roughly 1.1M at the start of the quarter and ending at around 906K.

Google Maps Go saw relatively steady weekly download numbers, beginning with around 10.9K and reaching a peak of about 15K in late March. Active users were also stable, hovering around 620K to 675K throughout the quarter.

Google Earth experienced a modest increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 4.9K and peaking at about 9.3K in late February. Active users remained steady, ranging from about 35K to 38.5K over the quarter.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation had fluctuating weekly downloads, beginning at around 7K and experiencing a slight dip to about 5.3K in late January, before bouncing back to approximately 7K in mid-March. Active users ranged between 12.5K and 15.9K during the quarter.

Radar GO-X: HUD, GPS, Maps showed significant growth in weekly downloads, starting at about 4.9K and peaking at around 9.2K by the end of March. Active users also increased, from approximately 3.8K at the beginning of the quarter to around 6.1K by the end.
